Gaskets for steel plants and metal works
Steel plants and smelters run blast furnace and coke oven gas, hot blast air above 1,000 °C, oxygen lines and huge volumes of cooling water. Large hot ducts move and vibrate, and gas leaks are a safety risk. We supply QGER gaskets and Garlock expansion joints for the iron, steel and rolling areas.

Points to watch
- Oxygen service needs clean, approved materials. Our graphite foil is BAM-approved for oxygen up to 250 bar and 200 °C.
- Above about 450 °C in air, flexible graphite oxidises. For hot blast service, ask us about ceramic fillers.
- Blast furnace gas contains carbon monoxide. Treat every gas joint as safety-critical and send full service data.
